Your teacher - that's me

My name is Anne Kowalski.

I would like to become your hostess and your German language teacher I want to invite you to one of the most beautiful regions of Germany in order to teach you the German language, to introduce you to German culture, way of life, traditions.

For more than two years I worked as a German teacher at the worldwide biggest International House School of Foreign Languages in Moscow / Russia. My students were adults and teenagers. I had groups and individual students of all levels. This period was of great value for me to gain experience both as a teacher and as a foreigner in a country, the language of which I mastered only insufficiently and struggled hard with as a learner. From these experiences you may benefit now.

I wasn't a teacher all my life. Previously I used to work as a journalist for a local newspaper and for a big publishing house, editor of numerous medical journals. My first university degree was a scientific one (biochemistry), the second journalism and communication science.

I also started a family and brought up four children. They are grown up now and finished university or are still occupied with their studies at Freiburg, Reutlingen, Tübingen and Aberdeen/Würzburg. For many years family came first in my life, my professionell development played the second part. But even this experience will become of benefit to you as my guests and language students.

To deal with a wide variety of people and to respond to their personality has been a challenge for me both as a journalist and a teacher. That’s, what makes my job so interesting and exciting.

What I can and what I want to offer you, is something unique: high-grade language instruction in a family-like setting - adjusted to your individual needs as a learner of the German language. This is the most intensive and efficient way of studying a foreign language.

Only your mother tongue you have learned with similar efficiency.
